Halloween Parade: Know Before You Go

The beloved Tarrytown Halloween Parade kicks off tomorrow at 5pm from Patriots Park and will end on Main Street in Tarrytown.
We have just under 1,000 registered participants, including vehicles, floats, marching bands, and lots of creative costumes.
With the beautiful fall weather and the increasing popularity of the region for seasonal visitors, we are expecting a large crowd. Make a plan for getting to and from the parade, or avoid the area altogether for the duration. If you must drive, plan to stay late to avoid the traffic.
Road Closures and Parking Restrictions
- Broadway: Closed from 4pm to 7pm. No parking from 2pm.
- Main Street: Closed from 3pm to 11pm. No parking from 1pm.
- Washington Street Parking Lot: Closed from 1pm- 11pm.
No event parking for vehicles in the inner Village (see map below).
Bike Parking can be found in the parking lots on either side of South Washington Street (Lots 3 and 4 on the Parking Map)
Shuttle from Train Station
A free event shuttle will be running from 2 to 5pm from the Tarrytown Train Station to the parade route. The shuttle will not be running after the parade.
Take the Train
Please advise your friends coming from out of town to TAKE THE TRAIN. Our Rivertowns neighbors are hosting events and restaurant specials. Park in a neighboring municipality and spend a few minutes on the train to avoid a traffic headache after the parade.
The MTA Schedule for the Hudson Line is linked here.
Some of the events in neighboring municipalities are posted on the Tarrytown Halloween Parade website.
Where to Park
If you must drive, check out this online interactive parking map for a guide to names and locations of Village lots. The following Village lots will be available for parking but we recommend you arrive early to secure a space:

- Lot A (next to Village Hall)
- Lot B (next to train station)

- Lot F (next to Losee Field)
- Lot G (next to kayak launch near the WI Boat Club)
In addition:
- The School District Booster Club is running a fundraiser for parking lots at the Washington Irving School and the High School and charging $20 for the day. See the attached flyer.

Most importantly, enjoy the celebration!
