Well, it's almost October. The year of COVID-19 has really flown by. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, some of our usually October programming this year will be taking a hiatus (namely the Halloween Parade). HOWEVER... some of our beloved October programming WILL happen this year... more on that in the next update...

In the meantime, we do have the Annual Tag Sale coming up October 3rd to dispose of your "treasurers" that are taking up just a bit too much space in your home. If you'd like to participate please email recreation@tarrytowngov.com no later than September 29th. The Map will be posted on our website after September 29th, so keep your eyes peeled.... If you do choose to shop, please wear a mask when you cannot socially distance.

NYS COVID-19 Dashboards (Including School Report Cards)

We're still living in a COVID-19 world so wear a mask and socially distance. With the start of the school year, we wanted to make residents aware that New York State has launched a "COVID-19 Report Card" (read as a dashboard) for COVID-19 case information for Public Schools, Charter Schools, Private Schools, Higher Education Institutions and SUNY Schools. You can search the report card here: https://schoolcovidreportcard.health.ny.gov/#/home.

We should also mention there are numerous resources for COVID-19 distributed by the NYSDOH and CDC.If you're interested in general state-wide COVID-19 data that is also available.

CENSUS LOGOCensus Push

The Census is almost complete! The Village is happy to announce that we've exceeded out 2010 response rate and currently have had 72% of our neighbors respond to the census. We cannot stress how important completing the Census is.... it helps to determine where over 1.5 trillion dollars in funding goes nationally every year, including funding out schools, hospitals and essential government services. Visit https://my2020census.gov/ to fill out your census today!

We apologize for the short hiatus in preparing these "News" Updates to the community. You should expect to see these "News" Updates approximately every two weeks.
