The Tarrytown Recreation Fitness Center officially re-opened Thursday October 8th with numerous COVID-19 Protocols in place. We had surveyed our membership in late August with just about 50% stating they’d return immediately, and another 25% saying they’d return within 2 months. We’re hoping that our policies will encourage old and new members alike to come on down (and social distance) to get fit! Any questions regarding the fitness center can be directed to Recreation@Tarrytowngov.com

Volunteer to Serve

On October 29th at 730PM the Village of Tarrytown will be hosting a “virtual open house” via zoom video conference. The goal of this “open house” is to spur interest in volunteering for the numerous boards, councils and committees we have working for the Village of Tarrytown. We will have volunteers from almost every committee on hand to speak about their experiences volunteering for the village, and to answer questions of prospective volunteers.

You can join via zoom:  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84266563508 or by calling (929)-205-6099 and using meeting ID # 842 6656 3508 (just follow the prompts! No attendee id needed!).

Westchester County is embarking on a study to better align the county’s mobility network with the needs of its residents, workers, and visitors. This study will examine the region’s transportation services, demographics, employment trends, mobility conditions, and other factors to understand how well the network matches existing travel needs, and identify opportunities to strengthen it and meet future needs.

TT Fire Department LogoFire Prevention Week

As the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions stop us from entering schools we would like the residents of Tarrytown to know that we are still here to help them. If any residents would like us to come and speak to them about fire prevention, please let us know and we can arrange to meet.

It is important that all residents check their smoke and CO detectors. Older detectors used batteries, but new ones have built in batteries. It is Important to check the expiration date on new detectors and replace them if they are expired.

The Tarrytown Fire Department is 100% Volunteer and are always looking for new members. If you are interested in being part of our department, please contact TTFD for information. No prior training is necessary. We are proud to serve and protect the residents of the Village of Tarrytown, if we can assist you in anyway please reach out to us. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay Tarrytown strong. Please feel free to contact TTFD at chiefs@tarrytownfd.org if interested in volunteering, or if you have any questions or concerns.
