Mandatory “Ten Digit” Dialing begins October 24th
Time to update your contact books in your phone. Starting October 24th, you’re going to be required to enter all 10 digits when dialing your phone… that means you’ll need to add “914” (or any area code for that matter, just about) before making any phone call. The reasoning behind this is for the planned launch of a National Suicide Prevention Lifeline “988” in the near future. To learn more, review this article.
Election Information
There is a Village Election coming up November 2nd. Early voting takes place October 23rd – October 31st and there are 23 designated early voting locations in Westchester at which you may vote. Board of Trustees Round Up
- The Village is moving ahead with surveying and subsurface work for water infrastructure improvements on Hillside Pl/Rose Hill/Altamont/S Grove
- The Village is receiving $470K from the County for the Losee Riverwalk Extension (the project has already been completed)
- Xavier Canfin was appointed as the Tarrytown student representative from the Irvington School District to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Council - welcome!
- Nawrocki & Smith presented its Village Audit for 6/1/2020-5/31/2020 – special thanks to the Village Treasurer Department for organizing and getting this done with the auditor
