Con Edison Gas Main Work - Update 3.4.22

Con Edison has the following updates on the ongoing work to update gas mains in the Village of Tarrytown:

Mckeel, Neperan, Wilson Park: The work in this area is now expected to be completed by the end of March. Paving will be completed by the end of April.

Croton, Legrande, Hamilton: The service connections are in progress. Con Ed expects to wrap up work in these areas on or about Friday, March 11. Paving will be completed by the end of April.

Wildey, Wood Court, Hanford Place, North Washington: Work is expected to begin on Wildey Street on Monday. The work will begin at the junction of Valley Street and Wildey Street and will progress east toward Route 9 over the next several months. The Wildey Street work should be completed by June 15.

Residents should be aware that parking will be restricted and detours will be necessary at times throughout the project.

There may be a temporary suspension of gas service to homes and businesses as Con Ed disconnects & reconnects service. An inspection is required before service is restored. If leaks or hazards are identified in the course of inspection, they will need to be remedied by the homeowner or business owner before service is restored.

We recognize the schedule on these projects has changed repeatedly. We apologize for the inconvenience and unpredictability. We report what we know from Con Ed when we know it. Much depends on the ability of the contractors to progress on their projects and on the weather. This is necessary work, but we know it can be frustrating and inconvenient as well. Thank you for your patience and understanding.  Feel free to reach out to the Administrator's office with any questions: 631-1785.
