Tarrytown News 12.29.2020 - Christmas Trees & End of Year....

Well, it's the end of 2020... this year was something else. [Insert additional clichés here]. This week news will be short for as we come close to ringing in the new year. Regular "news" blocks will resume January 14/15.

Sanitation and Christmas Trees

As we ring in the new year, so will our employees, including the crews of our Sanitation department. As such, there are some important changes to sanitation this week (See here)

Also, if you're looking to dispose of your Christmas Tree. Starting in January, it can be put at the curb for Thursday yard waste collection. Please make sure the tree is not in any tree bags, and is free of all decorations (i.e. lights and ornaments).

Tarrytown Still In Yellow Zone (and COVID MAPS)

The Village of Tarrytown is still a declared yellow zone in NYS. Do not get complacent. Wear a mask. Socially distance. Practice hand hygiene. Stop the spread. Get tested. The light is at the end of the tunnel (vaccines are here!)

Additionally, Westchester County re-vamped their COVID-19 Dashboard. The new dashboard has tons of information and is more closely following NYS data. You should check it out here. There is so much information to pour through for you data nuts!

Shop Local

With holiday shopping season coming to a close and the COVID-19 pandemic still raging on, we'd like to encourage the community to continue to think global and shop local here in Tarrytown!

Have a happy, healthy & safe new year!
