Nor'easter Storm Update (#2)

This is an update on the impending Nor’easter storm.

This is an update on the impending Nor’easter storm (the same information was sent via reverse 911 telephone earlier today)

  • A snow emergency is declared from Midnight Sunday to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
  • The National Weather Service updated forecast is for between 1 to 2 feet of snow.
  • Village offices are closed on Monday.  It is possible they will close Tuesday, but we will make that decision Monday afternoon. 
  • Village staff will be working remotely from home.
  • The Village Board meeting remains on schedule to take place by Zoom Monday night.
  • People who don’t have driveways should remove their cars from the street.  They can park for free in Village parking Lots A by Village Hall or D by the Recreation Center.  Cars must be removed from the lots by 6 p.m. Thursday.
  • Garbage is now cancelled for Monday and Tuesday.  Metal and Bulk Metal pickup are cancelled this week.
  • Monday garbage will be picked up Thursday, Tuesday garbage will be picked up Friday. 
  • Wednesday recycling remains on schedule
  • The Fitness Center is closed Monday and Tuesday.
  • This storm is being classified as a blizzard. Please stay off the roads during the storm.
  • Don’t put snow into the street.  Please put snow on lawns next to sidewalks and buildings.  Salt or sand icy sidewalks.
