Con Ed to Begin on Main Street and Wildey Street

Con Edison will be continuing their essential task of replacing and upgrading gas mains. Tuesday February 22^nd through Friday, February 25^th, they will be traversing Main Street at the juncture with Broadway. As a result, parking at the top of Main Street will be restricted and traffic will be disrupted, with detours directed down John Street and Kaldenberg. Please be aware of traffic disruption on Main Street when making plans next week. Thank you for your understanding.

On February 28, 2022, gas main replacement will begin on Wildey Street at Valley Street and Central Avenue moving up to Broadway over the next several months.

Residents should be aware that parking will be restricted and detours will be necessary at times throughout the project.

There may be a temporary suspension of gas service to homes and businesses as ConEd disconnects & reconnects service. An inspection is required before service is restored. If leaks or hazards are identified in the course of inspection, they will need to be remedied by the homeowner or business owner before service is restored.

Additional updates about Con Ed work in other areas in the Village:

For all areas listed below, street paving is expected to begin in mid-March. We will be sending out additional updates to notify residents of parking and trafficdisruptions that may result from the work. 

McKeel: The crews will be continuing their work for one more week.

Walden: Work should be completed by the end of next week.

Wilson Park: Work is expected to continue for the next two weeks.

Neperan: Work is expected to continue for one more week.

Croton and Legrande: Work is expected to continue for two more weeks.
