The President of the United States is scheduled to visit the Village of Irvington on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Significant traffic impacts are expected from mid-afternoon through rush hour. In addition, there will also be several major thoroughfares subject to long-term closures in Westchester County, which will add to the traffic impacts on secondary roads.
To avoid significant delays, we are advising motorists to avoid traveling in the area, including in Tarrytown, after 2:00 p.m.
Rail service on Metro-North’s Hudson Line is not expected to be impacted.
Please note that the Tarrytown Police Department, Village elected officials, and Village staff are not at liberty to provide any additional information about timing or specific road closure details due to security concerns.
